About Pregabalin
Pregabalin is used to treat nerve (neuropathic) pain, certain types of epilepsy as an add-on treatment, and generalised anxiety disorder. It calms over-active nerve signalling in the central nervous system, which is what underlies its effect across these otherwise different conditions.
It is taken regularly (not just when symptoms occur), and the dose is usually built up gradually at the start.
