How to Pay With Bitcoin at an Online Pharmacy: A Step-by-Step Guide

Why some people pay with Bitcoin

Bitcoin (BTC) is a digital currency that lets you send a payment directly from your own wallet to ours, without a card network or bank sitting in the middle. People choose it for a few practical reasons: it works across borders, it does not depend on a card issuer approving the transaction, and the payment is settled peer-to-peer. At Kam4eu it sits alongside our other options — SEPA/bank transfer, PayPal and USDT — so you can pick whatever suits you.

Bitcoin is one of the more volatile cryptocurrencies, so the amount of BTC you send is calculated against the order total in EUR at the time you pay. Send promptly after the amount is shown so the value still lines up.

What you need before you start

  • A Bitcoin wallet app (for example Trust Wallet, Exodus or a hardware wallet)
  • Some BTC already in that wallet, plus a little extra to cover the network fee
  • Your Kam4eu order reference (it looks like MB-A1B2C3)

If you have never used crypto before, set up the wallet and buy a small test amount a day or two ahead. That removes the time pressure on the day you order.

Paying step by step

  1. Place your order on Kam4eu and choose Bitcoin at checkout. You can shop all products first, then select the payment method.
  2. We show you a Bitcoin address and a QR code, along with the exact BTC amount for your order.
  3. Open your wallet, choose Send, and either scan the QR code or copy and paste the address. Never type it by hand — a single wrong character sends the funds elsewhere.
  4. Enter the amount shown, double-check it, and confirm.
  5. Your wallet gives you a transaction ID (a "hash"). Email this to us with your order reference so we can match the payment to your order.

Unlike a bank transfer, a Bitcoin payment carries no structured reference field, which is why the transaction hash plus your order reference is how we connect the two.

Confirmation times

Bitcoin payments are confirmed by the network in blocks, roughly every ten minutes. Most orders are comfortably confirmed within an hour, though times vary with network demand and the fee you set. A higher fee is prioritised; a very low fee can leave the payment waiting. We treat a payment as cleared once it has the confirmations our processor requires, and we dispatch within one working day of that.

Privacy and irreversibility

Bitcoin transactions are recorded on a public ledger, so they are pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous — addresses are visible even if names are not. We do not need card or bank details to take a Bitcoin payment, which some customers prefer for everyday privacy.

The single most important thing to understand is that Bitcoin payments cannot be reversed. There is no chargeback and no "undo". If you send to the wrong address or the wrong amount, the funds are gone. That is why scanning the QR code, checking the amount and sending promptly matter so much.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Sending from an exchange that adds its own withdrawal fee, leaving the received amount short
  • Pasting an address from a clipboard that malware has altered — always verify the first and last characters
  • Sending a different coin to a Bitcoin address
  • Forgetting to email the transaction hash, which slows down matching

If anything looks unclear, pause and contact us before sending. You can read more about how we handle orders on our FAQ page, or learn who we are on the about Kam4eu page.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a Bitcoin payment take to confirm?+

Most payments confirm within an hour, as the Bitcoin network adds a new block roughly every ten minutes. A higher network fee is prioritised, while a very low fee can leave the transaction waiting longer.

Can I get a refund on a Bitcoin payment?+

Bitcoin transactions are irreversible and have no chargeback mechanism, so a sent payment cannot simply be undone. Any refund would be arranged separately with us, which is why checking the address and amount before sending is essential.

Why do I need to send my transaction hash?+

A Bitcoin payment has no built-in reference field, unlike a bank transfer. Emailing us the transaction hash along with your order reference lets us match your payment to your order quickly.

Is paying with Bitcoin anonymous?+

It is pseudonymous rather than anonymous, because all transactions are recorded on a public ledger where addresses are visible. We do not need your card or bank details to process a Bitcoin payment.
